Hydro dipping is a method of applying color patterns to a wide variety of objects, using tints and paints on the surface of the water. Typically, a paint is initially sprayed onto the water’s surface. Then, the item that you are painting is passed through that fluid. When that happens, the paint or ink is evenly applied to the surface. The process may sound straight forward, but in order to achieve the best results, the skull must be properly prepared, masked off, and dipped using precision and patience to achieve a high-quality finish.

Custom Hydro Dipping Options

We take pride in our work and the skulls we produce. We offer unique options at an additional charge that most places don't.

We can "Double Dip" your skull applying two layers of hydro graphics which add more visual depth to the skull and cover more area of the skull.

We can "Remove the antlers for complete coverage" dip the skull and reattach the antlers with screws for a high end appearance.

Our Process

One of the reasons so many people choose us for hydro dipping is our attention to detail. We take the time to make sure the skull is properly prepared to receive the print. We also take the extra step to paint the inside of the skull which produces and more attractive and finished looking skull and accents the pattern applied to the skull.

We also use a quality clear coat, that offers a protective coating to the hydro dipped pattern and the skull without compromising the overall look of the piece. We have found that our clear coat also is durable and lasts for years down the road.

Hydro Dipping Patterns

We know that the pattern is important, that is why we keep a variety of patterns on hand and can special order (for an additional charge) a specific pattern of your choice from a wide variety of patterns form our exclusive manufacturer, Ozark's Hydrographics. We have a strong relationship with them and have been training by their staff in how to best apply their patterns to your skulls.
